YesCare+ protection • Powered by ThreatDown

Stronger Mac security.
Support from people you know.

Yes Computers uses ThreatDown, powered by Malwarebytes, for endpoint detection and response, vulnerability assessment, and patch management. Together, these tools help us detect threats, identify software weaknesses, and keep supported apps up to date.

Three layers of care

Protection that keeps working between support visits.

Each layer addresses a different part of device security: spotting an attack, finding a weakness, and applying an available fix.

Detect & respond

Endpoint detection and response (EDR) monitors for suspicious activity and gives our team tools to investigate and respond.

  • Malware detection and protection against potentially unwanted software.
  • Activity information that helps our team understand a detection.
  • Tools to isolate an affected device and remove detected threats.

Find vulnerabilities

Vulnerability assessment checks supported installed software for known security weaknesses, including issues that may exist before an infection occurs.

  • Scans that identify known vulnerabilities.
  • Information about affected software and severity.
  • Visibility that helps prioritize the most urgent fixes.

Manage patches

Patch management helps address known weaknesses by deploying available updates for supported software.

  • Visibility into available software updates.
  • Central management of supported third-party app updates.
  • Update status that helps identify where follow-up is needed.

EDR, explained

From a warning to an informed response.

An endpoint is a device such as your Mac. EDR adds ongoing monitoring and investigation tools to malware protection, helping our team understand suspicious behavior and decide what to do next.

When needed, ThreatDown can isolate a Mac from the network to help contain an incident while keeping its management connection available. Threat scans and quarantine help address detected malware and unwanted software.

What that means for you

You have a local support team to turn to when a security issue needs attention. We use the security information and response tools to help investigate the problem and guide the next steps.

ThreatDown’s automated monitoring is part of the technology. Contact Yes Computers when you need personal help or have a question about a warning.

Vulnerability & patch management

Close software gaps before they become bigger problems.

Assessment finds the weakness

A vulnerability is a known flaw in software that an attacker may exploit. Assessment identifies affected applications and provides severity information so our team can prioritize attention.

A finding does not automatically mean your Mac is infected. It means there is a software weakness to review and address.

Patching applies an available fix

Software publishers release updates to address security problems and bugs. ThreatDown helps manage updates for applications in its supported software catalog and shows deployment status.

Available fixes depend on the software publisher and the application. Some updates require an app to close or a device to restart.

What is supported on a Mac?

ThreatDown supports Mac malware protection, suspicious-activity monitoring, network isolation, vulnerability assessment, and patching for supported third-party applications. Its operating-system patching and ransomware rollback features are Windows-only. Ask our team for help with macOS updates and a backup plan for your Mac.

Capabilities depend on the operating system, supported software, and enabled services.

Getting started

Set up your covered Mac

Our team helps install and configure the endpoint software and required Mac permissions for the services in your plan.

Keep protection connected

Leave the security software enabled and connect your Mac to the internet regularly so it can report status and receive updates.

Ask when something looks wrong

Contact us about alerts, unusual behavior, or suspicious emails. YesCare+ also includes scam and phishing review, remote support, and an annual digital safety checkup.

Common questions

Is ThreatDown the same as Malwarebytes?

ThreatDown is the business security product brand powered by Malwarebytes. Yes Computers uses its managed endpoint security tools as part of our support service.

Does this replace my backups?

No. Security software and backups serve different purposes. Keep a separate backup of your important files. ThreatDown’s ransomware rollback is a Windows-only feature and does not provide Mac file recovery.

Will every app update automatically?

No. Patch management covers supported applications in ThreatDown’s catalog, subject to available updates and configured policies. Some software needs separate attention. On Mac, ThreatDown’s patch management covers supported third-party apps rather than macOS itself.

Does Mac protection also install on my iPhone or iPad?

The Mac EDR and patch-management features described here apply to covered Macs. YesCare+ includes Apple device support according to your plan; iPhone and iPad support does not mean those devices run the same Mac security tools.

Can I still ask you to review a suspicious email?

Yes. Scam, phishing, and suspicious email review are YesCare+ benefits. Contact us before following a questionable link, opening an unexpected attachment, or sharing personal information.
